New CEO for UNION Gruppen

The board of UNION Gruppen has appointed Endre Folge as the company’s new CEO. He succeeds Øystein A Landvik, who remains chair and a partner. Folge is taking office with immediate effect.

UNION is a fantastic company with a good brand and many able employees, says Landvik. We’re pleased that Endre is taking over as CEO. He’ll contribute new knowledge which will help our continued development. I look forward to collaborating with him. I’ve worked in UNION for almost four decades, and aim to remain an active owner for many years to come together with my fellow partners, Hroar Nilsen, Lars Even Moe and Bjørn Henningsen.

Folge has been involved over the past 15 years in implementing major financial transactions and developing operational projects through various roles in the Aker group and the HitecVision system, most recently as CFO and chief investment officer of HitecVision subsidiary Moreld.

Through its breadth and expertise, UNION occupies a strong position in the Norwegian property market, he says. I greatly appreciate that the board has given me the opportunity to lead the further development of the company together with all its motivated and able employees and in close collaboration with the owners.

Since its foundation in 1984, UNION has developed into one of Norway’s leading companies in the commercial property sector. It has developed from being a pure commercial property agent to become a complete supplier of property agency services, consultancy and investment products related to commercial property. In recent years, the company has experienced substantial growth in capital management and has participated in a number of Norway’s largest property transactions through its investment funds.

UNION will continue to create value from property, Landvik notes. Given the big changes in the property market, however, we see big opportunities from a sharper focus on the financial side and asset management. Rapid developments in interest rates, prices and costs create a more volatile property market, and we are gearing up to seize the opportunities this offers. With his leading-edge expertise and experience, Endre is the right person to develop our company into an even better property partner for investors, property owners, tenants and partners.
